MICHAEL G. THOMAS, President, ICON ARCHITECTURE & PLANNING

Mike is the cofounder and President of ICON Architecture and Planning, Inc. Mike's talented and innovative design, rendering expertise, and extensive knowledge in construction are what makes him one of the most sought after designers in the Southeast. His knowledge of AutoCAD and Photoshop allows him to deliver spectacular presentations quickly, and sets him apart from other designers.

Prior to his development of the firm, Mike was a principal at KRA, Inc. in Hilton Head, where his major accomplishments included designing shopping centers, banks, restaurants, and assisted living projects. He was also the founding principal of the Thomas Design Group where he designed numerous residences in Windmill Harbour, Hilton Head Plantation and Wexford on Hilton Head Island, S.C. Mike earned a Masters of Architecture from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and is a graduate of The Citadel with a BA in Political Science.

While a principal at ICON, Mike has been associated with, in various capacities, the design and development of over 20,000 acres of land. The developments are commercial, residential, or a combination of both, and range from 10 to 2,500 acres. His design talents contributed, for one client, to $500 million in property sales in one year. In addition, Mike is currently negotiating with Time, Inc. how the firm's designs will be utilized in future publications of SOUTHERN LIVING and COASTAL LIVING magazines and plan books.

Mike is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects, a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and past Vice President of the Hilton Head Island Chapter of the AIA. He developed and served as a member of theSecession ARB,Carolina Waterway Plantation ARB,The Bluffs ARC, The Battery ARC, as well as past Chairman of the Windmill Harbour ARB. He currently serves as Vice President of the Windmill Harbour POA.

TIM HOLLAND, President, ICON DEVELOPMENT GROUP

Tim is the cofounder and President of ICON Development Group. Tim has enjoyed a varied and progressive career working with design professionals, developers, builders, regulatory agencies, and owners providing support services from the initial planning through completion of construction. His expertise is in maintaining a high degree of quality and control over all facets of multiple projects, and consistently meeting project demands through effective management and creative problem solving skills.

Since coming tothe Lowcountry,Tim hasoverseen themaster planning anddevelopmentof over500 acres of land creating beautiful upscale residential neighborhoods. Additionally, he has been responsible for the development and construction of over 300 "high end" condominiums and elaborate amenities such as day spas, fitness centers, marinas, and water parks.

Tim's previous experience was in Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina, were he was responsible forthe design and construction of numerous professional and medical offices, exclusive golf course club houses, upscale assisted living communities, state of the art libraries, and entertainment/meeting/hotel facilities.

Some highlights of Tim's commercial projects include Grand Lakes Lodge and Spa, Savannah, GA; Johnson City Public Library, Johnson City, TN; Cardiovascular Associates, Kingsport, TN; The Virginian Golf Course Club House, Bristol, VA;The Carnegie Hotel, Johnson City, TN; Meadowview Hotel and Convention Center, Kingsport, TN;Barker Office Building, Kingsport, TN; Hunt Office Building, Abingdon, VA;High Point Manor, High Point, NC; and Lenoir Park, Lenoir, NC.

Tim earned a Masters in Administration and Bachelors in Education from East Tennessee State University. He has been active in his local church as a volunteer youth leader and Sunday school teacher. He served as a regional board member for both Tennessee and Georgia Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Tim's broad range of interest and experience allows him to provide innovative, yet practical solutions.

ROBERT S. TEDFORD, AIA, Project Architect

Rob joined ICON in February of 2006 as Project Architect and an architect of responsibility for the firm. He brings over 30 years of architectural and construction experience to the firm,and has the incredible talent of turning schematic design into construction documents. He brings a wealth of product knowledge and code expertise to the firm.

His experience prior to joining ICON is with Johnson & Assoc. Architects and BRZ, Inc, both as a Project Architect. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Texas. An involved member of the American Institute of Architects, Rob is a registered architect with the State of South Carolina.

Rob's professional appointments include the Windmill Harbor ARB, The Palmetto Dunes ARB, and the Past President of the Hilton Head Island Chapter of the A.I.A.

DONNA W. THOMAS, Vice-President, Creative Resources

As Vice President of Creative Resources, Donna brings over 16 years of marketing and creative expertise to ICON, allowing the firm to offer branding packages, collateral design, logo creation, advertising packages,and printing to their clients, thus providing developers a turnkey approach in establishing communities.

Donna has won over 100 Addy Awards, as well as several "Best in Show." She is the recipient of the Telly Award, a renowned national award for excellence in television advertising. She is also the winner of "Best Ad of Book" for Pro Pilot, and the "Best Advertisement of the Year" in Aviation Week. Donna holds a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Prior to ICON, she was the Senior Vice President and Group Creative Director of Anderson Communications Group.

AMY LYONS, Operations Manager

At ICON, Amy manages internal work flow ensuring timely and cost effective delivery of projects. In addition, she is responsible for business administration tasks that keep the firm organized and efficient.

A Kentucky native, Amy graduated from Marshall University with a degree in Marketing along with a minor in Fine Arts. After finishing her internship with Lela Rose, a prominent designer in New York, she relocated to Hilton Head in the fall of 2004.

MICHAEL TRAVIS CRABTREE , Associate

Travis joined ICON in May of 2006 as Intern Architect. He earned a Masters of Architecture from the Savannah College of Art and Design early 2008. He has a background in InformationTechnology and is proficient in AutoCad, Architectural Desktop, Photoshop, Microstation, Archicad and Maya. His experience prior to joining ICON is with Johnson & Assoc. Architects. Travis also holds a Bachelor of Art in Sculpture from the University of Central Arkansas.

MATTHEW MCCULLY, Associate

Matthew joined the firm in March of 2007 as a fulltime Intern Architect to assist ICON project managers with executing construction documents. Matthew attended Mississippi State University and brings technical expertise of cutting edge software programs. His 10 years of handson construction experience lends realworld insight to all projects with which he is associated.
